Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

“In truth, we sent it (Quran) in the night of the decree (Lailatul-Qadr), and what will make you know what the Night of the Decree is?” The night of the decree is better than a thousand And there go down the angels and the Rooh (that is to say, Gabriel) by the leave of Allah with all the decrees, peace, until the appearance of dawn. “(Al-Qadr 97: 1-5)

Another important factor related to this night is that everything decreed is transmitted as mentioned in the Holy Quran:

“We sent it (Quran) on a blessed night, in truth, we never warn, there (in this night) is ordained any question of ordination. Amran (ie an order or this Quran or his decree of any business) of us.In truth, We always send (the Messenger) (A) a Mercy of your Lord. “(Ad-Dukhaan 44: 3-6)

When is Lailatul-Qadr and The importance of Lailatul Qadr;

It is known from the hadith that exact knowledge of the fall of Lailatul Qadr was taken because some people have argued. Ubaadah ibn as-Saamit (R.A) said:

“The Prophet (PBUH) went out to tell us about Lailatul-Qadr, but two men were arguing and he said,” I went out to inform you of Lailatul-Qadr but so-and-so and so-and-so was arguing so that been resurrected, and maybe it’s better for you, so look for it on the (twenty) ninth and twenty-seventh and twenty-fifth. “(Bukhari)

In addition, it is reported by the Prophet (PBUH) that:

“In truth, I saw Lailatul Qadr, and I was led to forget it, and indeed it is during the last ten nights, it is during a strange night”

So the night of the decree happens in odd nights during the last ten days of Ramadan. It can be the twenty-first, the twenty-third, the twenty-fifth, the twenty-seventh or the twenty-ninth. It is told by Aisha (R.A):

“The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) practiced Itikaaf these last ten nights and said,” Look for Lailatul-Qadr in the (odd nights) of the last ten days of Ramadhan. “(Bukhari, Muslim)

If someone is too weak and unable to pray for all odd nights, then he must not let go the last seven nights. It is reported by Ibn Umar (R.A):

“The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,” Look for him in the last ten days, and if one of you is too weak or helpless even though he does not allow that to make him miss the seven last. “(Bukhari, Muslim)

How should we observe Laylatul-Qadr

1. The Prophet (PBUH) used to stand and pray on Lailatul-Qadr, so it is prescribed to stand and pray all night. The prophet (PBUH) said:

“Anyone who is in Lailatul-Qadr (Prayer) out of Eemaan and seeking a reward, then his previous sins are forgiven.” (Bukhari)

2. It is prescribed to beg a big one to Lailatul Qadr. It is reported from Aisha (R.A):

“O Messenger of Allah, and if I knew what night was Lailatul-Qadr, then what should I say?” He said, “Say: Allaahumma innaka ‘affuwwun tuhibbul’ afwa fa’fu ‘year.” (O Allah , You forgive and you like forgiveness, forgive me). “(Tirmidhi)

3. One should strive to worship during the last ten days of Ramadan. The Prophet (PBUH) used to worship in the last ten days of Ramadan as he has never done at any other time. We should pray, read the Quran and do Dua. it is reported from Aisha (R.A):

“The Prophet (PBUH) used to practice in the last ten nights more than he would at other times.” (Muslim)

If we miss this blessed night, it’s as if he missed a lot. Therefore, every Muslim should pray and hope for the great reward associated with that night. So if we know The importance of Lailatul Qadr, it will be useful for us.
